Assenza e presenza
sono forze vive
ambigue.
Credi che siamo tu e io
a determinarle?
Che dipendano da noi
è certo.
Ma da noi hanno preso
autonomia.
Assenza è sicura della presenza
non si lamenta come credi.
Presenza è oro, gioia pura
più dell'acqua suprema,
e riversa oro e stille
sulla sorella, l'assenza,
che geme di ricchezza
e lacrime.
Assenza mia, mia presenza,
specchio di te,
tua copia, tuo simulacro,
no: immagine delle immagini.

Più degna di vederlo potrò essere
